Jack-O-Lantern Key Chain

Hi friends,

I have a cute little Jack-O-Lantern keychain šŸŽƒ for you today that I made using my Cricut Explore Air 2. It’s a really quick project that I’m going to attach to an upcoming creation that I’m working on – so stay tuned to the blog!

I found my acrylic keychains at Hobby Lobby in the jewelry section. They measure 2 inches in diameter and came in a package of 4 for $3.99, but I got them the week they were 50% off – what a great deal!

I used the pumpkin face #M40224424 by Heather Roberts and the keychain background #M4C45BE19 by Cute Clipart And Things. Both images are found in Cricut Design Space. I sized them down to fit on the acrylic circle.

I removed the protective sheet from one side of the acrylic circle. I transferred the background image to transfer tape, burnishing it with my scraper. Then I applied it to the acrylic circle and burnished over the top before removing the transfer tape.

I turned the acrylic circle over, removed the protective coating, and applied the face to the circle, centering it over the background. Just to be clear, the background and the face are on opposite sides of the acrylic circle. šŸ™‚

Here’s what the keychains look like all finished! They’re not perfect, but I still think they’re kinda cute. And really inexpensive for a little Halloween treat. šŸŽƒ

I forgot to wipe off the acrylic circles after removing the protective coating – I think it might have helped my vinyl to cling a little better and not have the few tiny air bubbles on a couple of them. But I think they are cute and fun for a non-sweet Halloween treat! šŸŽƒ
