Birthday Donuts (Handmade Card)

Hi friends,

Anyone who knows my husband knows how much he loves a good donut! This great stamp set from Unity Stamp Company called Donut Birthday is the perfect set to make him a birthday card. 🍩

I used the smaller donut stack in the set and the sentiment from the Rainbow Birthday set (also from Unity Stamp Company) to create my card. The donut stack is the perfect size to make a mini slimline card. The card measures 6 by 3.5 inches. I trimmed a piece of card stock to measure 6 by 7 inches and folded it in half.

I stamped the donut stack with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored it with Copic markers. I die cut around the image using the Double Stitched Mini Slimline STAX Die-namics from MFT Stamps. It seems this set is no longer available but they do have Stitched Mini Slimline STAX Die-namics which are the same size just with a single stitching line. I used the same set of dies to cut 2 different pattern papers and layered them to a light turquoise card.

I attached the donut stack to the card using foam tape. I stamped the sentiment with brown ink on white card stock, punched it with a scalloped oval punch (similar to this), and attached it to the top left corner of the card.

To add a little something extra to the donuts, I added Diamond Glaze to the icing on each one. You can see the shiny finish it gives in the picture below.
