Warm Valentine Hugs – Handmade Card

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. ♥️ Have you started on your cards yet? I have a sweet little penguin Valentine to inspire you. 🙂

This cute little stamp set is called Penguin Hugs from Unity Stamp Company. The set also includes the sentiment on my card – so sweet for sending Valentine wishes. ♥️

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock. I used my Misti Stamping Tool so I could stamp the image twice to get a nice dark image, then I colored the scarf and mug with Copic markers and added little pink cheeks. I die cut around the image using these Scallops & Circles nesting dies.

I embossed a piece of red card stock using this Sketched Hearts embossing folder and attached it to a red card. I die cut the red heart patterned piece using this Mini Envelope Die Set – you can see a close up of the detail in the photo below. The piece is layered to white card stock die cut with this Deckle & Stitches die set and then attached to the card using foam tape. The penguin circle is attached to the card with foam tape.

The sentiment is stamped with black ink on white card stock and die cut with this Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment die set. It is attached to the card with foam tape.
