Hi friends,

There are so many variations of crochet granny squares – from traditional to very elaborate. This Mini Circle Granny Square has a trendy feel and works up in minutes.🧶

I followed this pattern to stitch up my squares to create the Mini Circle Granny Square Gift Pouch. I used Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek yarn in White and Aqua with an I/5.5 mm crochet hook.

To create the little gift pouch, I made 2 mini circle granny squares according to the pattern, but I did add one extra round of single crochet to make them a little larger. The 5th round is done in the same way as the 4th except adding 9 single crochet stitches between the corners.

Place the 2 completed squares with the back sides facing each other. Beginning in the top left corner, attach your yarn through both layers and single crochet around 3 sides of the squares. Be sure to work through both layers and work 2 single crochet stitches in each of the bottom corners. Leave the top open to form the pouch. Fasten off and weave in your ends.

To make the loop for closing the pouch, attach the yarn to the center back with a slip stitch. Chain 22 and slip stitch back to the pouch. Fasten off and weave in your ends. Sew on your button. I used a 3/4-inch white button on my pouches and sewed them on with yarn. It may be easier to sew on your button before crocheting your granny squares together.😉

These little pouches are the perfect size for gift cards, cash, jewelry, candy, or other small gifts. And of course your color options are endless! I think they would be so cute in Fall or Christmas colors with a fun seasonal button.😊
