Fresh Cranberry Sauce

Are you looking for an easy side dish to go with your Christmas ham? This tasty cranberry sauce may be just what you need! And with only 3 ingredients, it’s super simple to throw together.

You will need a 12 oz package of fresh cranberries (found in the produce section of your grocery store), 1 cup of orange juice (fresh or frozen – I just mixed up some frozen), and 1 cup of sugar. Mix the orange juice and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add in cranberries and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until berries begin to pop. This should take 10 minutes or less. Then just pour into a bowl and refrigerate. The cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools. I usually make it the day before I want to serve it. It will keep several days in the refrigerator so you can have it with all your leftover ham sandwiches. 🙂

Here it is in the pan just before I took it off the stove…

A little tart, a little sweet…a perfect holiday side dish…I hope you enjoy it!
