I love all the fun farmhouse signs that are everywhere right now. I’ve looked at so many and seriously could go broke if I bought all of them that I like. 😳 So I thought I’d try my hand at making a simple L❤️VE sign for Valentine’s Day with this cool stamp set from Unity Stamp Company. If you like to stamp, you need to check this company out! They have amazing stamps and have incredible sales all the time…I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. 🙂

The stamps in this set are about 4-inches tall – perfect for making a fun sign for your house. I used a scrap piece of wood to make my sign. It measures 15-1/2 inches by 5-1/2 inches and is 3/4 of an inch thick. 

I painted the board with Home Decor Chalk Finish Paint in Maui Sand. After it was dry, I painted a thin coat of Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint in Lace, feathering it out to the edges so more of the gray paint is showing. Again, make sure the paint is dry. Then I used Real Red Classic Ink from Stampin’ Up to stamp L❤️VE on the board. The ink didn’t come out as red as I thought it would, but I really like the soft pinkish color.

You could also use stencils instead of stamps to add the letters and heart to your sign. I’m really happy with the way this turned out! I may even leave it out all year long.
