Chalk Painted Floral Container

Hi friends,

I had this container that I saved from a fresh floral arrangement. It looks like it is polished metal, but it is actually plastic! I wanted something a little more farmhouse-y, so I broke out my trusty chalk paint. πŸ™‚

I painted 2 coats of Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint in Escape, letting it dry thoroughly between coats. After the 2nd coat of paint was dry, I brushed on Folk Art Home Decor Antiquing Wax and immediately wiped off the excess with a paper towel.

I love the way it turned out!

I picked up my greenery at IKEA. It’s just a ball that fits perfectly in my container. πŸ™‚

Look around your house – you may have the perfect container that you can repurpose to add something new to your decor!

Thanks for stopping by!
