Crochet Modern Granny Blanket

Hi friends,

This was such a fun blanket to make! The pattern is called Modern Granny Blanket and the free pattern is from Daisy Farm Crafts. It works up quickly and you can make it in any color combo you’d like.

I used Yarn Bee Soft Secret yarn in Sky Blue, Cognac, and Biscuit with an H/5mm hook to stitch up my blanket. I had 2 skeins of each color, but used maybe 1/3 of the 2nd skein of blue (because of the border) and only a little of the 2nd skein of the other 2 colors.

I changed colors every 2 rows, beginning and ending with Cognac. I worked the border with Sky Blue.

My blanket has a total of 56 rows before adding the border. Once the border was added, it measures approximately 34 by 34 inches. The pattern has instructions for changing the size of the blanket and, of course, the yarn and hook you choose to use will also change the finished size.

This pattern worked up really quickly and I love the way it turned out! I hope a sweet little boy will like it, too. 🙂

Happy stitching!

Anita

So pretty! I love the colors and it looks so soft. 🙂 I’ve been working on hats today with Caron Simply Soft and I’m loving how soft they’re turning out to be.
