Hi friends,
I have a cute and easy Valentine craft to share with you today. ❤️ This would be a great project to do with the kids or your friends for a fun crafting afternoon.

Here’s what you’ll need:
- 4-inch chunky wood letters, X and O (you can also use papier mâché letters)
- Small (1-inch) wood heart
- White acrylic paint
- Scrapbook paper in 2 different patterns
- Mod Podge
- 3 small red gems

First paint your letters and heart with 2 to 3 coats of white acrylic paint, letting it dry between coats. Then turn your scrapbook paper over, trace the letters on the back, and cut them out. (I love these detail scissors!)
Brush a thin coat of Mod Podge onto your painted letters and attach the paper letters, smoothing out any air bubbles. I brushed a thin layer of Mod Podge over the top of my letters, too. Once they are dry, trim any paper around the edges of the letters if you need to. Glue the heart to the center of the X and add 3 gems to the heart.
I think they turned out so cute! Such a fun addition to your Valentine decor. ❤️

I found my X and O at Target, but most craft stores have chunky wood (or papier mâché) letters, often in different sizes. (I made some 8-inch papier mâché letters a few years ago in this post.) You can also paint your letters pink or red instead of white or add other cute embellishments to them.
I would love to see your XO Valentine Wood Letters!
