Mini Pallet Flag

Hi friends,

Do you have any of these mini wood pallets from Dollar Tree in your craft stash? It makes the cutest flag just in time for the 4th of July. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

You’ll need some red, white, and blue acrylic paint along with some 1-inch wood star cutouts. You may also want some blue painters tape to get a nice clean edge between colors.

Place a piece of painters tape where you want the blue section to end – my blue section is roughly one third of the pallet. Using a foam brush, apply 2 coats of blue paint to the pallet letting it dry between coats. Once the blue paint is completely dry, place a piece of painters tape along the edge of the blue paint. With a foam brush, apply 2 coats of red and white paint to create the stripes. Paint your stars with 2 coats of white paint.

Using E6000 clear adhesive or another strong adhesive, glue your stars to the pallet as shown in the photo below.

This would be a fun project to make with the kids on a hot or rainy Summer afternoon. I made a Patriotic Mini Pallet a couple of years ago using a napkin in this post – it’s another easy project to create with these cute little pallets. 😊

Here’s my Mini Pallet Flag on my tiered tray. You can find info on my Chunky Polka Dot Wood Stars here, my Mini Patriotic Rolling Pins here, and my Americana Wood Blocks here. They would all be fun projects to do with the kids!

Happy Crafting! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
