Did you see my post with my Crochet Summertime Can Cozy using these fun bright colors? Today I have a Crochet Brights Dishcloth to match. The colors are so vibrant and they just might make doing the dishes a little more fun. 😉

I used I Love This Cotton yarn in Brights and Turquoise with an H/5mm crochet hook to stitch up my dishcloths. You can find the pattern below along with a link to a free PDF if you’d like to easily print it. I’ve also included a link to the PDF of a simple label wrap that you can use for gifting or at markets if you sell your makes.

H/5mm hook
Stitches used in US terms:
Chain – ch
Foundation Single Crochet – fsc
Single Crochet – sc
Double Crochet – dc
Slip Stitch – ss
Back Loop only – blo
Row 1: work 16 fsc. Turn (16 stitches)
Row 2: ch 1. sc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 3: ch 1. dc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 4: ch 1. sc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 5: ch 1. dc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 6: ch 1. sc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 7: ch 1. dc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 8: ch 1. sc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 9: ch 1. dc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 10: ch 1. sc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 11: ch 1. dc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 12: ch 1. sc in each stitch across. Turn. (16 stitches)
Row 13: ch 1. sc in each stitch across. (16 stitches)
Do not turn after Row 13.
Begin working in Rounds.
Round 1: ch 1. sc evenly around, working 3 sc in each corner. Join with ss to first sc.
Round 2: ch 1. Working in blo, sc in each stitch around, working 3 sc in each corner. Join with ss to first sc.
Round 3: ch 2 ( does not count as a stitch). Working in blo, dc in each stitch around, working 3 dc in each corner. Join with ss to first dc.
Round 4: ch 1. Working in blo, sc in each stitch around, working 3 sc in each corner. Join with ss to first sc.
Round 5: ch 1. Working in blo, sc in each stitch around, working 3 sc in each corner. Join with ss to first sc.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Finished dishcloth measures approximately 7.5 inches by 7.5 inches.

The Crochet Brights Dishcloth works up quickly and of course can be made in any color. They also make great gifts – wrap up a few in a pretty basket to match the recipient’s kitchen. What color will you make yours?
