Fun Framed Patriotic Art

Hi friends,

One of the easiest – and inexpensive – ways to add framed art to your decor is with free printables. I found this fun printable at Mother Thyme Rooted in Home along with several other patriotic prints.

All you have to do is download the prints and print them out onto your choice of card stock. I printed mine onto plain white card stock. Each print can be printed in 2 different sizes – 5×7 or 8×10. The frame I used was 4×6 so I adjusted the percentage on my printer to 75% of the 5×7 size before printing it. Then I cut it out along the cut lines.

I wanted the print to have a bit of a vintage feel, so using a blender brush I applied Memento Rich Cocoa Ink to the print. It didn’t quite fit the frame, so I layered it to a piece of 4×6 red card stock. Then I simply slipped it into the frame and added it to my mantel.

A couple of other sites that offer great free printables are On Sutton Place and The Cottage Market. You’ll find lots of ideas to add framed art to your decor for different seasons or everyday.
