Mr. & Mrs. Card

Hi friends,

Last month my handsome godson and his beautiful bride were finally able to get married! They had originally planned a May wedding – but then Covid. 😦 They had the most wonderful wedding at a beautiful venue in the hills of Tennessee. It fit them perfectly and I couldn’t be happier for them! ❤️

I love this photo of the happy couple taken by her sister!

Of course the happy occasion called for a special card. I made this simple but elegant card to wish them well in their marriage.

I embossed a panel of white card stock with a flourish embossing folder. (This is a discontinued one from Stampin’ Up, but here is a similar one.) I attached the panel to a kraft card. I punched a heart from kraft card stock and also from white card stock. I embossed the white heart with the same embossing folder. I attached the kraft heart to the card and then added the white heart with foam tape. I stamped “Mr. & Mrs.” with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on white card stock and punched it with a label punch. I attached it to the card with foam tape and finished the card by adding 2 tiny pearls to the label.

This is a similar heart punch to the one I have. My “Mr. & Mrs.” stamp is an older one that is no longer available, but “congratulations”, “best wishes”, or even “love” would work wonderfully. The label punch I used is also no longer available, but there are lots of different options out there like this one from Stampin Up.

Although I sometimes use supplies that are no longer available, I hope my creations inspire you to take another look at what you have in your own craft room to create the perfect card or project for those special people. 🙂

Congratulations to the Happy Couple and Happy Stamping!

Anita
