Hi friends,
Like most card makers, sympathy cards are my least favorite cards to make. But I have to say that having received these cards myself, they mean so much during those difficult times.

I made this card using the flowers from the Difficult Roads stamp set and the sentiment from the First Friend, Best Friend, Forever stamp set both by Unity Stamp Company.

I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic Markers. I layered the image to pool colored card stock and attached it to a white card. I stamped the sentiment with pool ink, layered it to pool card stock and attached it to the card with foam tape.

I love the soft colors in this card. You could easily change the sentiment to make it a birthday card or thinking of you card. This is such a versatile stamp set – I made a birthday card with it in this post.
Although these are difficult cards to make, they are so worth it. It’s the little things that mean so much when things are hard.
One thing I try to do is to have a few generic cards made up without a sentiment. Then when you need a card quickly, all you have to do is add the sentiment and you are good to go!
