I stitched up my Pumpkin Dish Scrubby using Scrub-Ology Scrub It! yarn in Orange and Green with an I/5.5mm crochet hook. You can find the pattern below along with links to free PDFs – one with photos and one without – if you’d like to easily print it.

Stitches used in US terms:
Magic Circle
Chain – ch
Single Crochet – sc
Half Double Crochet – hdc
Slip Stitch – ss
Note: chain at the beginning of rounds and rows does not count as a stitch.
Make a magic circle with Orange yarn, ch 1.
Round 1: work 6 hdc into magic circle. Join with ss to first hdc. Pull circle closed. (6 stitches)
Round 2: ch 1. Work 2 hdc in same stitch as ss and in each stitch around. Join with ss to first hdc. (12 stitches)
Round 3: ch 1. Work 2 hdc in same stitch as ss, hdc in next stitch. *2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next stitch* Repeat from * to * around. Join with ss to first hdc. (18 stitches)
Round 4: ch 1. Work 2 hdc in same stitch as ss, hdc in next stitch. *2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next stitch* Repeat from * to * around. Join with ss to first hdc. (27 stitches)
Round 5: ch 1. Work 2 hdc in same stitch as ss. hdc in next stitch. *2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next stitch* Repeat from * to * 5 times. ss in next 2 stitches. hdc in next stitch. *2 hdc in next stitch, hdc in next stitch* Repeat from * to * 5 times. Join with ss to first hdc. (39 stitches)
Fasten off Orange yarn.
Join Green yarn with ss to the 38th stitch of Round 5 to make the stem.
Row 1: ch 1. sc in same stitch as ss and next 3 stitches. Turn. (4 stitches)
Row 2: ch 1. sc in each stitch across. Turn. (4 stitches)
Row 3: ch 1. sc decrease, sc in last 2 stitches. (3 stitches)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Finished Pumpkin Dish Scrubby measures about 4.5 inches across.

I’ve also included a link to a free PDF for a tag you can use for gift giving. Simply print the PDF on white card stock and cut the tag into any shape you like – I used these Scallops & Arches Nesting Dies for my tag. Then I punched a small hole in the tag and tied it to the scrubby using natural twine.
