Blueberry-Pineapple Dessert

Hi friends,

This Blueberry-Pineapple Dessert is super easy to make and it is so good! 🫐🍍

You can make it with fresh or frozen blueberries. It’s baked in a 9×13 inch pan so there is plenty to share – but you may not want to! 😉

Blueberry- Pineapple Dessert

  • 1 (15 oz) can crushed pineapple
  • 3 cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 box yellow or lemon cake mix
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350°. Layer 1/2 of the pineapple, 1/2 of the blueberries, and 1/2 of the 3/4 cup sugar in a 9 x 13 pan. Repeat layers.

Sprinkle cake mix over the layers, then sprinkle with the 1/4 cup sugar. Slice butter and place all over the top. Sprinkle with pecans.

Bake for 45 minutes until browned and bubbly. (I used frozen blueberries and had to bake it about 10 minutes longer.)

Here’s what it will look like just before you put it in the oven…

And here it is hot, fresh, and bubbly from the oven.

This is so good warm with a little vanilla ice cream! But it’s also good at room temp or even cold from the fridge. (I always store leftovers in the fridge.) You can pop it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds if you’d rather have it warm.

This is such a yummy dessert for anytime of the year – I especially like it in the Spring and Summer. 😋

Spring Birthday Wishes – Handmade Card

Hi friends,

This little mouse is so fun for sending Spring birthday wishes. He’s from the stamp set called Country Mouse Hello from Unity Stamp Company. The set includes another sweet mouse along with 3 sentiments and a couple more stamps.

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I stamped the mouse with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored it with Copic markers. Using these Scallops & Rectangles Nesting Dies, I die cut around the image.

Using the same die set, I die cut a piece of patterned paper and attached it to a white card. The stamped image is attached to the card with foam tape. The sentiment is stamped on pink card stock and die cut using these Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies. The sentiment is attached to the stamped image along with a small piece of foam tape on the left side. My “Happy Birthday” stamp is no longer available, use your favorite birthday stamp from your collection.

This is another fun stamp that can be used for different occasions – thinking of you, just a note, and missing you would be great sentiments to use.

Warmest Christmas Wishes- April 2025 Christmas Card

Hi friends,

Whew! I made it just in time to post April’s Christmas card. 🎄

I’m making a few Christmas cards each month so I’ll be ready to send them out when the busy holiday season hits. You can find the cards I’ve created so far this year in these posts- January, February, and March.

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

This month’s card is created using the stamp set called Winnie the Pooh: Snowone More Wonderful from Unity Stamp Company. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Blank ink on white card stock and colored it with Copic markers.

Using these Deckle & Stitches Nesting Dies, I die cut around the image and layered it to red card stock die cut with the same set. The piece is attached to a white card. The sentiment is stamped with black ink on white card stock and die cut with these Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies. The sentiment is layered to red card stock die cut with the same set and attached to the card using foam tape.

This is a super clean and simple card, but I love how it turned out! I mean, how can you go wrong with Pooh Bear?!?!? 🙂

Crochet Boho Baby Bib

Hi friends,

These adorable Crochet Boho Baby Bibs are so fun to make! You can find the free pattern here at A Crafty Concept. Ashley also has tons of other patterns, stickers, wrap labels, tips, and all things crochet on her site. You should check her out! 🧶

I stitched up my bibs using I Love This Cotton yarn in White and Rosy with a G/4mm crochet hook. My finished bibs measure about 6.5 inches across. You can adjust the size of the strap to make it longer if you want by adding a few more stitches. I think you could also go up to an H/5mm crochet hook and your bib would be slightly larger without losing any of the great texture.

The pattern also has instructions on how to add fringe to the bib to add even more of a boho vibe if you’d like. So cute!

These make great gifts for the new baby – practical and cute! 😊

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored her with Copic markers. Using these Scallops & Circles Nesting Dies, I die cut around the image.

To make the card, I used these Scallops & Rectangles Nesting Dies to die cut patterned paper and attached it to a white card. My patterned paper came from this Kindness is Magic paper pack. The bunny image is attached to the card using foam tape. I stamped the sentiment with black ink on yellow card stock and die cut around it with these Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies. It is attached to the circle along with a little foam tape on the left side. I’ve had my birthday sentiment stamp in my collection forever and it’s no longer available. Use your favorite sentiment stamp from your collection on your card.

6 by 6 Inch Paper Pad Storage

Hi friends,

I’ve been attempting to get a little more organized in my craft room. It seems to be a never ending task! I’m a messy crafter and it’s almost impossible for me to have a neat crafting space. 🙃

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I found a great way to store my 8.5 by 11 inch card stock and I talked about it in this post.

I also have a lot 😳 of 6 by 6 inch patterned paper packs. As I use them, I like to keep the scrap pieces with the rest of the full sheets for using later. I found these great plastic sleeves that are perfect for keeping the full 6 by 6 sheets and scraps together. Just slip the sheets and leftover scraps into the sleeves and everything is in one place.

Each sleeve can hold up to 60 sheets of paper (depending on the thickness of the paper) and the they come with index stickers for labeling if you want to use them. The sleeves are thick plastic and will protect your papers from bent corners. (The pic above shows just a few of my many paper packs!)

I have some clear refrigerator storage containers similar to these that work great for storing the sleeves. Makes it so easy to flip through all of my paper packs to find just what I’m looking for!

I’m slowly getting my supplies more organized. Maybe one day I’ll get it all nice and neat! 😉

Crochet Spring Flower Dish Scrubby

Hi friends,

I had some Scrub-ology Scrub It! yarn leftover from a previous project that I wanted to put to good use. So I created a simple Spring Flower Dish Scrubby crochet pattern and I’ve shared it below.

I used the colors Lemon and Green with a J/6mm hook to stitch up my scrubbies. The yarn comes in several different colors so you can make them to match your kitchen. I’ve included a link to a free PDF below. There’s also a link to a free PDF without the pictures if you prefer that.

Happy Birthday Pooh – Handmade Card

Hi friends,

I love Winnie the Pooh and Unity Stamp Company has some of the cutest Pooh stamps! This one is called Winnie the Pooh: Pooh’s Happy Day. He is so fun for sending birthday wishes. 🎈

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored it with Copic markers. Using these Scallops & Squares Nesting Dies, I die cut around the image. I applied light blue ink around the edges of the square using a blender brush.

I embossed a piece of red card stock using a birthday embossing folder similar to this. I layered it to blue card stock and attached it to a white card. The Pooh image is attached to the center of the card. I applied Diamond Glaze to the balloon to add a little dimension and shine.

I think this card would be so cute in pastel colors, pinks and purples, shades of green, or any other color combo you can think of. 🙂

Paula Deen’s Banana Pudding

Hi friends,

Are you bringing dessert to Easter Dinner? You can’t go wrong with banana pudding and I think Paula Deen’s recipe is one of the best. As you can see in the post below that I shared a few years ago, it’s a great dessert for all of your Summer gatherings, too. Read the post below for all the details and click the link to get the recipe.

Ok y’all…I have the perfect dessert for all of your Summer gatherings! Paula Deen’s Banana Pudding is full of so much goodness – everyone will love it! 🍌

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

You can find her recipe here. It is so easy to make. My friend Chereé asked me to make it for our Easter lunch and it doesn’t take long to put together. The only thing I did differently from the recipe was to use Banana Cream instant pudding instead of French Vanilla instant pudding. It added an extra punch of banana flavor. Thanks for the suggestion Chereé! 😊

Here’s a picture before we served it. It looks so yummy! And I may have taste tested a tiny bit of the pudding left in the bowl after putting it together in my serving dish. 😋

You can make this yummy dessert the day before and store it covered in the fridge. It will be so good for graduation parties, family reunions, and backyard BBQs. It’s Paula Deen’s Banana Pudding so you know it will be amazing! 😋

Zip Top Plastic Bags For Card Stock Storage

Hi friends,

Are you like me and struggle with organizing your card stock – especially the smaller pieces? I’m always looking for a good way to store card stock. 🙂

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I found these Zip Top Plastic Bags and decided to give them a try. They measure 9 by 12 inches and are the perfect size for 8.5 by 11 card stock sheets. They are a thick plastic so they won’t easily tear. Because they have a zip top, I can slip in smaller pieces and keep my colors organized. I have them stacked on a shelf in my craft room.

So far I’m loving them! It’s so easy to find the color I need and also keep my scraps handy for all my card making and paper crafting.

They are also available in several different sizes – from 7 by 9 inches all the way to 18 by 23 inches – so you can get whatever size you may need. You can find them here.
