Crochet Train Cuddler

Hi friends,

Do you know about 3am Grace Designs? They have the cutest Kawaii Cuddler crochet patterns available along with safety eyes, stickers, crochet accessories, and more. 🧶

This cute Train Cuddler was so fun to make – you can find the paid pattern here. I stitched up my train using I Love This Yarn with an H/5mm crochet hook. The only thing I did differently from the pattern was to stitch up little black circles for the eyes and sew them in place instead of using safety eyes. I gifted the train to a one year old and wanted to be extra safe! Don’t forget your Poly-fil to stuff your cuddler. 😉

There are so many different Kawaii Cuddler crochet patterns to choose from – everything from animals to transportation to holidays to alphabet and numbers to so much more! They even have some mini cuddler patterns available. I’m sure you will find the perfect pattern to make for that special someone. 😊

Someone is 3! – Handmade Card

Hi friends,

A special little boy just turned 3! I made this cute card to celebrate his day!🎉

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

This cute birthday bear is part of the Special Delivery stamp set from My Favorite Things.

I stamped the image on white card stock and colored him with Copic markers. Using these Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle dies, I die cut around the image.

To make the card, I embossed a piece of red card stock with this Sweet Squares embossing folder and attached it to a white card. I stamped the sentiment with red ink on white card stock and die cut around it with these Scalloped & Stitched nesting dies. This particular sentiment stamp is one I’ve had in my collection for a long time and is no longer available – use your favorite birthday sentiment stamp from your collection on your card. The bear image and the sentiment are attached to the card with foam tape.

I die cut a “3” from patterned paper and attached it to the card with foam tape. This is a very similar set of number dies.

Such a fun way to celebrate a little one’s special day! 🎉

White Chocolate Butterscotch Chip Cookies

Hi friends,

Do you like white chocolate? How about butterscotch? These yummy cookies have both white chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in them and they are so tasty. 😋

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

You can find the recipe here at I Heart Naptime. The recipe has almond extract which adds an extra little touch to these cookies. I also used dark brown sugar because that’s what I had on hand and it worked great.

I used my 1 tablespoon cookie scoop to add the dough to baking sheets lined with silicone baking mats. Before putting them in the oven, I slightly flattened each cookie. They smell so good while they are baking!

I was able to get about 5 dozen cookies by using my cookie scoop. These are just the first batch I baked. 😊

I think these would also be yummy with just the white chocolate chips or just the butterscotch chips alone if you don’t want to add both. Just increase the amount of whichever one you are using. 🙂

Happy Baking!🍪

Wood Heart Carrot

Hi friends,

I turned this pallet heart into a cute carrot door hanger a few years ago and it’s just so fun! I was in Hobby Lobby the other day and noticed that they have them in stock again this year – and they are 40% off! If you think you might want to make one of these Wood Heart Carrots for Easter, check with your local Hobby Lobby to see if your store has them. You could also use a plain heart like this one to make your carrot.🥕

You can find my original post below with all the details to create your own Wood Heart Carrot.🥕

Hearts aren’t just for Valentine’s Day! I picked up this pallet heart from Hobby Lobby’s Valentine’s Day clearance thinking, that with a little paint and greenery, it might make a cute whimsical carrot to add to my Easter decor. And I think it did! 🥕

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

The heart measures about 14-inches long and 14-inches wide at the widest part. First I painted the heart with orange acrylic paint. After it dried, I used a 1-inch spouncer to add white polka dots. Then to add a little depth, I lightly dry brushed some brown paint over the entire heart after the polka dots were completely dry. (This is a great set of acrylic paints if you need to replenish your craft room.)

The heart came with a sawtooth hanger on the back, but I took that off so I could attach the greenery. Using hot glue, I attached a bunch of faux greenery to the back of the heart. Then I hot glued some natural twine to the back for hanging. To finish it off, I hot glued a bow made from various ribbons to the front of the heart.

I love the way it turned out! Something a little different but so fun! 🥕

You can make carrots with just about any size heart – the long skinny ones would be great! A basket filled with small carrot hearts would be so cute along with my Rustic Farmhouse Easter Bunny!

Crochet Ball Toss Game

Hi friends,

I stitched up this cute Crochet Ball Toss Game for a special little boy for Christmas. The easy pattern can be found here at Winding Road Crochet. You should check out her site – she has so many fun patterns! 🧶

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I used I Love This yarn in 6 different bright colors with an E/3.5mm crochet hook for the balls and an H/5mm crochet hook for the baskets. I opted to make 2 balls of each color – you can make as many or as few as you’d like for your Ball Toss Game. You’ll also need some Poly-fil to stuff the little balls.

There are ideas on different games to play with the set at Winding Road Crochet. I love that these little balls are soft and perfect for tossing in the house without fear of hurting anything. Great for cold or rainy days when the kids have to play inside.

Sent With Love – Valentine Card

Hi friends,

There’s still time to create a clean and simple Valentine card and get it in the mail! This card comes together very quickly and it’s super easy to make. ♥️

Disclosure: Some of the links on my site are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I embossed a piece of red card stock with this Sketched Hearts embossing folder, attached a heart printed ribbon to it, and attached the piece to a white card. I die cut a square from white card stock using this Scallops & Squares Nesting Dies set and attached it to the card with foam tape.

Using this Dashes and Frills Hearts die set, I die cut a heart from red and white card stock, layered them together, and attached them to the white square with foam tape. I stamped my sentiment with red ink on white card stock, die cut around it with this Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting die set, and attached it to the card with foam tape. This particular sentiment is discontinued, but any of your favorite Valentine sentiments will work on your card. ♥️

You may not have the same embossing folder or dies that I used in your collection, but I hope you will use the layout of my card as a jumping off point to spark your own creativity using the supplies and tools that you do have. ♥️

Simple Framed Valentine Decor

Hi friends,

One of my favorite – and inexpensive – ways to add simple framed art to my decor is with free printables that I can print out and add to my own frame. There are tons of options available and with just a quick internet or Pinterest search you are sure to find a printable that will match your decor.

Did you see this post when I added a Christmas printable to the frame in the photo below? I decided to change it out and add a Valentine printable for this month. ♥️

One of my favorite places to find printables is at On Sutton Place. She has so many beautiful images for all the different holidays. She also has everything from decorating ideas to recipes to DIYs to so much more! So much inspiration!

I simply downloaded the Valentine printable above, printed it on white card stock, and trimmed it to fit my frame. So easy! Another thing I love about this particular printable is that I can keep it out all year long. 🥰

By the way, you can find the info about the Soft & Squishy Crochet Hearts in the photo above in this post if you are interested. 😊

This sweet lovey is easy for little hands to grasp and hold onto. 💕

I used I Love This Yarn in Pink, White, and Black with G/4mm and I/5.5mm crochet hooks to stitch up my bear lovey. You’ll also need some Poly-fil for stuffing the head and arms.

I made this Crochet Bear Lovey for a sweet baby girl and that’s why I chose pink. 💕 But you can stitch up your bear lovey in any color from traditional brown to blue to white and any color in-between!

What color will you make yours?
