A couple of weeks ago we were able to take a 10 day road trip through a small part of New England. It was amazingly beautiful!! 🍁🍂
The trees were turning, there were some clouds, some sun, and surprisingly warm temperatures. Here are a few photos that I took – they don’t even begin to do justice to the beauty we saw!!
We started the trip watching the sunrise above the clouds from our plane.
There are so many beautiful old churches in the northeast. This is Old First Church in Bennington, Vermont. It began in 1762 and they still have services every Sunday!
Here are some of the beautiful sights we saw as we drove through Vermont and New Hampshire.
We also visited Bar Harbor, Maine.
The top photo is the sandbar that you can walk across from the town of Bar Harbor to Bar Island at low tide. The bottom photo is the same area at high tide. I got a kick out of the signs warning not to park your car on the sandbar…wonder why they had to actually post that?!?!?
Our final stop was Portland, Maine and we visited Portland Head Light. The coast was absolutely beautiful – rocky with the waves crashing in!
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to New England! So much more to see and do – 10 days was not nearly enough time! For now, I’ll leave you with a picture of one of the beautiful trees in Bar Harbor…
Thanks for stopping by,
Anita
