I have a fun project to share with you today. It’s the perfect little addition to your decor and so fun and easy to make!

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own Mini Farmhouse Wreath…
- 3-inch wood embroidery hoop (I used one of these)
- 1/2-inch unfinished wood split balls (I found mine here)
- small buffalo plaid fabric (I picked mine up at Hobby Lobby)
- 1.5-inch tightly woven white ribbon (This is similar)
- greeting stamp (Mine came from the Gotta Love Sentiments set from Unity Stamp Company)
- black ink pad (I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink)
- white chalky finish or acrylic paint (I used this paint)
- various black and white thin ribbons for the bow
- hot glue gun
First cut a piece of ribbon about 6-inches long and stamp “HELLO” using black ink in the center of the ribbon.
Cut a square of fabric (about 6-inches square). Place the fabric and the stamped ribbon over the bottom ring of the embroidery hoop and tighten the other ring over the top, pulling the fabric taut.
Turn your hoop over and trim off the excess fabric and ribbon. See those old scissors? I have had them since I was a teenager! A family I babysat for gave them to me for Christmas one year. We won’t say how many years ago that was 😉 … but I have never had them sharpened and they still work great!
Using your hot glue gun, glue your split wood balls onto the front of the embroidery hoop. Then take your white paint and brush it lightly over the split wood balls and the outside of the embroidery hoop. I wanted it to have a weathered/vintage look so I didn’t completely cover the split wood balls. Take the thin ribbons and make a small bow (I used the Re-Fabbed Bow Method) and hot glue it over the split wood balls at the top.
I think it turned out super cute!
It’s the perfect size to add to your tired tray or to tuck into your mantel decor. It’s great for the Fall season and can also be used all year long.

What greeting will you put on your Mini Farmhouse Wreath?
That’s so cute!
Thank you so much!
