Do you like to give gifts from your kitchen for the holidays? Or are you in charge of bringing dessert to the Christmas party? Need something quick and easy to make? You’re in luck! I found this super easy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread recipe here on Pinterest and it’s so yummy. 😋
You know you have a couple of overripe bananas on your counter. 😉 Well, don’t throw them away just yet…They are perfect for baking this yummy bread!

You’ll need 2 bananas to bake the Chocolate Chip Banana Bread in a loaf pan or you can bake a batch of muffins in a muffin pan, too. I doubled the recipe to make 2 loaves since I had 4 overripe bananas. 🤷🏼♀️ Chocolate chips sprinkled over the top add to the yumminess!
Golden brown fresh from the oven – it smells wonderful!!
The best thing is you can make it now and freeze it for gift giving or holiday parties later!! Just wrap the loaf with aluminum foil and slip it into a freezer bag. If you want to freeze muffins, I like to add them to a freezer bag and then put that bag into a second freezer bag.
For gift giving, tie a pretty ribbon around the loaf and add a cute tag. Or if you’re giving muffins, you could line a basket with a Christmas tea towel and add the muffins to the basket. A tasty gift that everyone will love!
Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is so good with a hot cup of coffee or tea for breakfast, a tasty after school treat, or even dessert after dinner. To make it even better, pop it in the microwave for about 10 seconds – the chocolate gets all melty and gooey! 😋

Have you seen the Christmas ornaments made with the Tumbling Tower Game pieces from Dollar Tree? There are all kinds of ideas floating around Pinterest using these mini wood pieces! They measure just under 2-inches by about 1/2-inch and are about 1/4-inch thick. You could cut your own, but why do that when you can get 72 pieces for $1.00 at Dollar Tree?!?!

The first thing I did was to paint the pieces with 2 coats of red acrylic paint. (Here’s a great set of paints if you’re looking to resupply your craft room.)
Then using a small stiff-bristled brush (similar to this), I dry brushed around the edges of the pieces with white acrylic paint.
I inserted a small screw eye into the top of my wood pieces. It helps to use a small awl to make a tiny hole and then screw in the screw eye. I cut a length of white twine to use as a hanger for my ornaments. I threaded one end of the twine through the screw eye and then both ends of the twine through a small wood bead – a larger eyed needle helps with this step! (I used the 8mm wood beads from this set.) I tied a knot close to the bead to hold it in place and then tied the ends of the twine together to make the hanger.
If you don’t have a Cricut machine, you could use stickers or write the word on the ornament with a paint pen. These would be fun with any Christmas themed word or you can personalize them with the names of your family and friends.
These mini ornaments are the perfect size to add to a treat bag, to use a package tie on, and of course to hang on your Christmas tree! 🎄

I found the recipe here at Mom on Timeout. Butter, chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk with cocoa powder mixed in, and pecans – I mean, it has to be good right?!?! You’ll make them in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan so there will be plenty for everyone.
The bars have a buttery shortbread crust baked for a few minutes…
Then topped with chocolate chips and pecans…
And then the chocolate sweetened condensed milk is drizzled on top and you’ll pop them back in the oven…
This is how they look after baking…And they smell Ah-mazing!!!
But they taste even better!!
These tasty bars will be great for any gathering over the holidays or even for a special after school treat. Thanks Mom on Timeout for this delicious recipe!

Thanksgiving is just 2 weeks away! 🦃 But you still have time to whip up some clean and simple cards to send to your loved ones.
I have 3 cards below that come together quickly. Just color the image, layer it to some matching card stock, attach it to a card, and add a sentiment. Super easy!

All my images and sentiments for my cards came from Unity Stamp Company – I’ll give you all the details below. Don’t have these stamps? No worries – pull out your favorite Thanksgiving/Fall stamps from your collection and make your own clean and simple cards.
This card was stamped with the Gobble Owl stamp set. I punched the sentiment with a label punch (similar to this), punched the label again from green card stock, cut it in half, and attached it to the back of the sentiment. The label is attached with foam tape.
The last card is made with the Pilgrim Gnomies stamp set. I layered the sentiment to dark brown card stock and attached it to the card using foam tape.
Clean and simple cards are the perfect way to share your creativity when time is short – or you’re just in the mood to make something easy. 😉
Have you seen these unfinished wood pallet Christmas trees from Hobby Lobby? They’ve had them for at least a couple of years and I finally brought one home to play with. 😊

The tree measures about 15-inches tall – a great size for your tabletop or mantle. I had some of these 1/2-inch split wood balls (I got them here) and thought they would match well with my Christmas tree to get a cute farmhouse look.
The first thing I did was glue the split wood balls around the edge of the tree. I used Alene’s Tacky Glue and left a little space at the top to add a 3-inch wood star (similar to these).
Then, using a chip brush, I painted the entire tree with white chalky finish paint. I painted 2 coats, letting it dry between coats. I didn’t worry about the paint not completely covering the area around the split wood balls – a little bare wood showing through just adds to the charm!
After the white paint was completely dry, I dry brushed gray paint over the entire tree to give it some dimension and the farmhouse look. I used a chip brush, with the bristles trimmed to about 1-inch long so the brush is stiff, to apply the gray paint. You can use either chalky finish or acrylic paint for this step.
I love the way it turned out! It will be such a fun addition to my Christmas decor…Is it too early to start decorating??? 🎄
Do you like a tasty bowl of chili after a long day? Me, too! On a cool Fall day, it’s the best comfort food to warm you up and fill your tummy. 😋

This is a super Easy Chili Recipe that I have been making for years. It comes together in just a few minutes and you can simmer it on your stove top or cook it for a few hours in your slow cooker.
Easy Chili Recipe
1 lb ground chuck
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 (15.5 oz) cans chili beans
1 (15.5 oz) can dark red kidney beans, drained
1 (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
1-2 tablespoons chili powder/seasoning (or more if you like it really spicy!)
Brown the ground chuck along with the onions; drain well. Add all ingredients to a Dutch oven and mix well. Simmer for 30 minutes. You can also add everything to your slow cooker (after browning the meat and onions) and simmer on low for 4 to 5 hours.
We like to add some shredded cheddar cheese or sour cream (or both!) to our individual bowls. Fresh hot cornbread is always a yummy side – corn chips are great along with the chili, too.
This recipe freezes well, so go ahead and double (or triple 😊 ) it and freeze some for an even easier weeknight meal!
